Jun Zheng's Light Box is a unique residential house design that redefines tranquility and intimacy
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jun Zheng's Light Box draws inspiration from the timeless ideas of Louis Barragan, focusing on themes of religious piety, light, body, and space. The design aims to bring tranquility and inner peace to its inhabitants, creating a new beginning rooted in serenity.
Innovatively, the Light Box breaks away from traditional enclosed spaces, emphasizing human-nature intimacy and seclusion. It fosters a sense of timelessness and emotional connection, weaving a new relationship between inhabitants and nature within the "box of light."
While simplifying construction techniques, the design meticulously ensures precision and longevity. The house, a three-story townhouse, spans 400 square meters, featuring a kitchen integrated with the original garden and a teahouse patio.
Innovative and Minimalist Design Approach
The Light Box prioritizes human behavior and interaction, promoting symbiotic, independent, clustered, and scattered living. By returning to the essence of "home," the design maximizes human actions and fosters a harmonious relationship between people and space.
Constructed in Chengdu from April 2018 to November 2019, the project reflects a deep understanding of customers' needs, emphasizing simplicity, functionality, and a harmonious living environment.
Embracing Nature, Light, and Human Dialogue
Jun Zheng's Light Box seeks to establish a harmonious dialogue between nature, space, and human perception. It emphasizes interactivity, proportion of blank space, and the infusion of life, art, and beauty. This design embodies Oriental aesthetics, natural attributes, and a humanistic spirit, creating a truly unique living space.
