Chunlei Sun's Yanan Monsion is a remarkable residential house project that encapsulates the essence of traditional courtyard living in Yan'an. The design draws inspiration from the local culture, seamlessly blending the area's rich history with contemporary aesthetics.
The project covers a total of 800 square meters and is characterized by its unique courtyard design, emphasizing spatial relationships, light and shadow changes, and the seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces. The main materials used in the project are natural stone and wood, adding a touch of luxury and simplicity to the overall design.
Completed in April 2019, the Yanan Monsion project represents a modern interpretation of traditional courtyard living, offering a cohesive, stable, and harmonious living experience for multi-generational families. The project's unique blend of traditional and modern elements has earned it the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its outstanding creativity and contribution to quality of life improvements.
