SUIADR introduces the Songpingshan Fire Station, a groundbreaking Grade-1 fire station, designed to set new standards for fire station construction in Shenzhen, China.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SUIADR proudly presents the Songpingshan Fire Station, a pioneering project designed to revolutionize fire station construction in Shenzhen. The station, inspired by the 2014 Shenzhen Fire Station Standardization Design Workshop, aims to establish new construction standards and provide a reference for domestic fire station constructions. The project, located at the intersection of Baoshen Road and Keyuan Road, Nanshan District, Shenzhen, was initiated in September 2016 and completed in December 2019.
The Songpingshan Fire Station boasts a unique inner courtyard-style layout and features a Grade-1 fire station with a plot area of 3,660.1 square meters and a gross floor area of 5,791.64 square meters, accommodating up to 7 fire trucks. The innovative design includes a set-back line, overlapping circulation routes, shading structure, and green design, integrating green architecture and sponge city technologies to create a sustainable and efficient space.
The project faced challenges such as limited land area and noise interference, which were overcome through strategic negotiations and innovative design solutions. The station's unique features, including the arrangement of different facilities on each floor, multiple rest platforms for firefighters, and a focus on public participation, set it apart as a model for future fire station constructions.
