Tape Art by Tape That Exhibition

In 2019, FunDesign.tv and Tape That Collective brought the Tape Art Exhibition to Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei, showcasing 8 tape art installations and over 40 tape paintings. The exhibition space covered 380 square meters and featured themes of Camouflage, illusion, mirror house, and night-view corridor, creating an immersive art milieu with brilliant sounds and light.

The artists utilized cloth tapes, duct tapes, paper tapes, packaging tales, plastic tapes, and foils to transform the plain space into a fancy place of great aesthetics and fun. Visitors could engage with the art, such as in the Camouflage area, where they could put on outfits matching the patterns of the works and completely hide within the art.

The Tape Art Exhibition was a visual party of lines, color chunks, and fluorescence, captivating the audience with unusual ideas and techniques. The artists overcame challenges such as adverse weather conditions and the limitations of tape art, showcasing their remarkable expertise and innovation. The exhibition was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its outstanding technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill.
