Memorandum Project: "Embrace" by Dmitry Kudinov

Dmitry Kudinov's "Embrace" is a monumental mural art project, standing 27 meters tall and 15 meters wide, covering 405 square meters of artistic painting. The project draws inspiration from the touching story of a soldier from the 170th Sterlitamak infantry division, whose promise to return home with a silver pocket watch to his wife was fulfilled after 74 years. The artwork is a poignant representation of love, heritage, and memory, resonating with the public through its storytelling and fine arts.

The project, spearheaded by curator Lidiia Averina and artist Andrey Olenev, involved meticulous research and technical prowess. The use of facade paints and paint rollers, along with the employment of facade lifts, brought this awe-inspiring creation to life. "Embrace" serves as a powerful symbol, located on a main street that connects old and new districts, where it is visible to a bustling crowd, including students and pedestrians.

With its completion in 2020, "Embrace" commemorates the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory, encapsulating the spirit of resilience and remembrance. Dmitry Kudinov's dedication to capturing the essence of human experiences and historical contexts shines through in this remarkable public art installation, earning him the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2021.
