Mango: A Demonstration Office Project for the Developer

Mango, a demonstration office project by Martin Chow, is a unique endeavor that brings the theme of a young and energetic advertising company to life. Inspired by the name "Mango," the design incorporates the vibrant color of Mango yellow, creative curve shapes, and forms to break the traditional office layout. The space, with dimensions of approximately 6m width, 9.5m depth, and 5m height, cleverly utilizes the Pantone colors of 2021, yellow (13-0647), and grey (17-5104), to resonate with the contemporary market.

The project, realized using materials such as carpet, tiles, wallpapers, metals, and glasses, presents a modern and dynamic atmosphere. The utilization of the space is carefully planned to ensure a smooth traffic flow, with designated areas for customer interaction, office work, and meetings. The design team, including Martin Chow, Pan Mok, and Kimi Guan, overcame challenges related to limited space, budget, and construction time to create a space that reflects the essence of the proposed advertising company theme.

Mango's design not only reflects the designer's expertise but also received recognition with the Silver A' Design Award in 2022. The project's success lies in its ability to capture the spirit of a young and trendy advertising company while effectively utilizing limited space and resources.
