Shang Cai Unveils Yunxi: A Unique Water-Themed Restaurant Design

Shang Cai introduces Yunxi, a characteristic restaurant inspired by the waterscape of Chongqing, China, offering a unique fusion of light, shadow, and water elements. The project was completed in October 2019 at Liujia Wharf, Chongqing.

Yunxi: A Fusion of Fashion and Spatial Innovation
Shang Cai's Yunxi restaurant, spanning 600 square meters with a 6-meter ceiling, offers 150 table seats and 2 private rooms. The design, focusing on fashion and spatial innovation, integrates water elements, light, and shadow to create a dynamic, multi-functional space.
The restaurant's unique visual impact is achieved through the fusion of light and shadow, modeling in space, materials, and color, interpreting the permeability and fluidity of water elements. The open design method, coupled with an intelligent lighting control system, allows for the creation of various party scenes.
Key design elements include cloud devices as table lighting, controlled by artificial intelligence to create a welcoming atmosphere. The project was awarded the Platinum A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its exceptional and highly innovative design.
