Mohammadsina Gavili Unveils Zino, a Game-Changing Ultrasound Device

Mohammadsina Gavili introduces Zino, an innovative ultrasound system designed to revolutionize medical imaging. Developed in Tehran from August 2020 to June 2021, Zino is a compact, professional-grade, and low-cost ultrasound that prioritizes both form and function. The design team's goal was to create a cost-effective device that could be utilized by professionals while also being accessible to a wider user base due to its aesthetic innovation.

Zino's unique features include the removal of the trolley's height adjustment mechanism to reduce costs, the relocation of the probe's transducers to the back for easier management, and a modern aesthetic design that integrates a physical control panel. The device's dimensions of 76.5cm * 89cm * 140cm and improved air circulation enable continuous usage, addressing key challenges faced during the design process.

The project, led by Mohammadsina Gavili and his team at Ekas Design Studio, has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Medical Devices and Medical Equipment category for its outstanding technical characteristics and innovative approach. Zino's impact on the medical imaging industry is set to be profound, offering a cost-effective solution without compromising on quality or functionality.
