Mohammadsina Gavili unveils Luna, a cutting-edge ultrasound system designed to meet the unique needs of the Iranian medical community, combining innovation and functionality.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mohammadsina Gavili, in collaboration with a dedicated team, has developed Luna, an innovative ultrasound device that redefines the standards of medical imaging technology. Commissioned by Med Fanavaran Plus, Luna is a cost-effective solution designed to compete globally while catering to the specific requirements of the Iranian healthcare landscape. The project commenced in January 2020 and concluded in November 2020 in Tehran, Iran.
Luna stands out with its full-touch control panel, allowing customization for up to 5 different users, and a unique hardware system that enables individual part maintenance and upgrades without replacing the entire device. The device's robust internal metal structure ensures durability and facilitates cost-effective upgrades. Additionally, Luna's optimized design allows it to withstand shipping and environmental stresses, making it suitable for various medical settings.
Utilizing deep-learning systems, AI, and AR, Luna enhances the efficiency of medical imaging. The device's separatable transducer receptacles offer flexibility, providing options for two or four transducers based on customer requirements. Luna's user-centric design extends to its probe holders, which can be adjusted based on user preferences, and its silicone probe-holders cups, ensuring easy cleaning and maintenance.
The collaborative design process behind Luna involved extensive user engagement, research, and iterative prototyping, resulting in a product that reflects the needs and preferences of the medical community. Luna's exceptional design has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Medical Devices and Medical Equipment Design category in 2022.
