Heytea Xi'an Store Design by Uno Chan

Uno Chan's design for the Heytea Xi'an store redefines the traditional concept of a tea shop by seamlessly blending modern architecture with natural elements. The 320-square-meter space features a pure and concise design, incorporating rammed earth, cement, mirror, and metal materials to create a geometrically inspired, elegant environment that reflects Heytea's commitment to simplicity and sophistication.

The use of rammed earth material, atomized glass, and natural landscape elements such as wheat ears and reeds creates a harmonious indoor-outdoor fusion, enhancing the overall experience for visitors. From the unobtrusive gray entrance to the interior's restrained and balanced design, the space exudes an air of elegance and cool sophistication, in line with Heytea's brand identity.

Uno Chan's meticulous attention to detail is evident throughout the store, with the interior landscape design maximizing the use of space through material division and light manipulation. The strategic placement of matte stainless steel and the use of reflective surfaces effectively address the challenges posed by the building's architecture, resulting in a modern and visually captivating interior.

The project, which commenced in March 2019 and concluded in May 2019 in Xi'an, required innovative solutions to overcome spatial constraints and enhance the overall modern tonality of the space. Uno Chan's design successfully achieved this through the use of stainless steel reflections, creating a ceiling area filled with installation sense and drama, while the hidden lighting added a touch of mystery and allure to the entire space.

Uno Chan's design for the Heytea Xi'an store was awarded the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence in interior space, retail, and exhibition design. The award-winning concept sets a new standard for modern tea shop aesthetics, showcasing Uno Chan's ability to create a multi-dimensional, rich, and pure design essence through his unique design vocabulary and dedication to pushing the boundaries of spatial connotation.
