Yijie Chen's Zero Pet Club, a 460-square meter pet club, blurs the lines between a pet shop and a social life club, aiming to bring pets and their owners closer together.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Yijie Chen's Zero Pet Club is a unique concept that reimagines the traditional pet shop as a modern, social space. The 460-square meter area in Nanjing, completed in July 2019, offers a refreshing environment for pets and their owners, fostering closer bonds and improved communication.
Unlike conventional pet shops, Zero Pet Club resembles a book store or coffee bar, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both pets and their owners. The space features pet rest rooms separated by logs and glasses, allowing for easy management and a comfortable environment for pets and their owners to interact.
Utilizing materials such as PanDomo, terrazzo, stainless steel plate, and wood finish, the design emphasizes a warm and exquisite ambiance. The club also offers a range of pet-related products and services, including travel, insurance, and portraits, further enhancing the human-pet relationship.
The project, which started in March 2018, presents a comprehensive area with a wide and open plane layout, appropriate lighting, and an inviting color scheme. The cat playing area, designed with natural elements, provides a stimulating environment for pets while maximizing the use of space within the club.
Yijie Chen's Zero Pet Club was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its outstanding innovation and technical excellence. The club's unique approach to pet retail and its dedication to strengthening the bond between pets and their owners set it apart as a modern oasis for pet lovers.
