Simeng Yao's "Another Me" design project is a testament to the unrestrained pursuit of life and avant-garde concepts. The project, located in Chongqing, China, is a spacious and personalized living environment that serves as a medium for the owners to express their personalities and emotions.
The design endows the residential space with more meaning, breaking away from traditional single-storey houses to create an open, one-bedroom, one-living-room structure that reflects the owners' temperament and personality. The project was realized through targeted graphic design schemes and extensive discussions with the clients, resulting in a unique and unconventional living space.
The project, which started in September 2019 and was completed in August 2020, aimed to probe into the residential conception of people in China, offering new possibilities in residential habits and redefining homes as a medium for showcasing personalities and imagination.
