Nanyi Design Interior Design Studio's Director Yi-Yun Chang creates a distinctive industrial-style residential apartment

Yi-Yun Chang, the Director of Nanyi Design Interior Design Studio, has redefined residential living with the "Living Aesthetics" project. This 50 square meter residential apartment in Hsinchu, Taiwan, has been transformed into a unique blend of industrial style and residential comfort, winning the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2020.

The project, completed on May 15th, 2017, showcases the fusion of functionality and aesthetics. The design integrates iron, aluminum, and stainless-steel materials, creating a distinctive ambiance of sophistication and wildness. The space features functional storage solutions, such as hanging cabinets with iron nets and imported tile patchwork, offering both practicality and visual appeal.

Responding to the client's needs, the design team eliminated traditional furniture and introduced a high bar counter that serves as a dining table and a working space, enhancing both the aesthetic atmosphere and functional purpose of the space. Additionally, the lack of storage space in the bedrooms was addressed by removing partition walls and creating an open closet area, along with a streamlined and fashionable storage room design.

Yi-Yun Chang's exceptional creativity and attention to detail have brought forth the intensely industrial hues and essence, creating a space where functionality meets aesthetics. The "Living Aesthetics" project is a testament to the studio's commitment to shaping exclusive and beautiful living spaces that elevate the lifestyle of its inhabitants.
