Environmentally Eclectic: Redefining Modern Living Spaces

Howard Diao, Gary Wu, and Mira Huang's Environmentally Eclectic project redefines modern residential apartment interior design with its unique blend of eclectic styles and environmentally friendly materials. Inspired by the minimalist living environment in Australia, the design incorporates various elements to create a one-of-a-kind living space rarely found in Taiwan. The use of earth-tone colors, wood, and environmentally friendly materials such as terrazzo flooring, wood flooring, cinder blocks, eggshell paint, and titanium plating, sets this design apart.

This modern, eclectic design not only focuses on aesthetics but also on promoting a healthy living environment. The use of advanced technology, including a full heat exchanger, comprehensive water purification system, and special paint that regulates humidity and enhances lighting, ensures healthy air and water quality throughout the residence. The design also maximizes natural light and prevents global warming by minimizing the use of drapes and tinted windows.

With a design area of 165 square meters, the project features terrazzo flooring covering 50 square meters, wood flooring covering 60 square meters, and painted flooring covering 23 square meters. The design also incorporates feng shui principles and maximizes storage capacity throughout the residence, offering both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
