Howard Diao, Gary Wu, and Mira Huang have ingeniously incorporated the wisdom of I-Ching into a stunning modern interior design project, symbolizing the harmony of yin and yang through a minimalist black-and-white color scheme and linear transitions. The residence, completed in June 2019, features embedded hexagrams representing Heaven, Earth, Family, and Advancement, subtly integrated into the grand bookcase and wall, creating a captivating interplay of light and shadows.

The 112.4 m2 space showcases the coexistence and unity of opposites, as per I-Ching philosophy, with the homeowner seeking balance and harmony in everyday life. The design not only conveys meaning but also imparts unique beauty and style, promoting self-reflection and spiritual growth.

The project, located in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2022 for its outstanding and creatively ingenious design, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology.
