Alabear: Gift Box for Chinese New Year
Mao Ming's Alabear project is a unique gift box designed for the Chinese New Year, inspired by the Ningbo dialect meaning "our little bear." The design incorporates the bear mascot, the Year of the Ox, and the God of Wealth to create a special gift for the Chinese New Year. The project was well-received locally and contributed to tourism promotion.
The Alabear gift box stands out due to its combination of the bear mascot, the Year of the Ox, and the God of Wealth, offering a unique and culturally significant gift for the Chinese New Year. The project utilized printing color technology, including CMKYK+ spot color (red), bronzing, and bulging, along with special paper material to bring the design to life.
With a size of 30cmx30cmx22cm, the Alabear gift box includes packaging design, red envelope design, spring couplet design, and commemorative coin design, providing a comprehensive and interactive experience for the recipients. The project commenced in November 2020 and will be available in the market in February 2021.
