"For Better Life" Residence Design by TIEN WUN LI

TIEN WUN LI's "For Better Life" residence design, completed in September 2019 in Taipei City, Taiwan, is a testament to the innovative approach to retirement living. The design team sought to balance practical functionalities and spirituality, creating a space rich in humanity through open, semi-penetrated, and blank motifs. By maximizing windows, natural light and greenery are invoked, complementing the environment and people.

In response to the excellent surrounding environment, the open style space welcomes Beitou's precious ecological greenery, forming a peaceful world for two people. The space is full of interesting elements such as round hooks, geometric display cabinets, pinewood pegboards, colorful furniture, and soft furnishings, creating a harmonious and modern atmosphere.

The design team utilized birch plywood, cement bricks, wooden flooring, imported tiles, and pinewood in their original forms with minimal processing, reducing construction and loss of surface materials while protecting the environment. The space features a unique approach to decor, with custom-made restaurant light fixtures inspired by snowflake building blocks, integrating childhood memories, the old taste of Taiwan, and a brand new future.
