Traders Club: Redefining Bar and Restaurant Spaces

TIEN WUN LI presents the Traders Club, a revolutionary bar and restaurant design concept that seamlessly blends British classics with real-time interactive technology. The project, completed in January 2021 in Taipei City, Taiwan, targets young transnational investors, offering a cross-regional and cross-time difference themed space for community interaction and information exchange. The design incorporates a deck-style space with temporary tables, chairs, and projection screens to cater to diverse event needs, fostering openness, privacy, and flexibility.

The Traders Club stands out as a commercial bar renovated from an old house, drawing inspiration from the New York Stock Exchange. Utilizing arc shapes to enhance visual height and conceal beams and columns, the design offers various seating arrangements for conversations, gatherings, and courses, fostering social interaction and information exchange among young investors.

Addressing the challenge of limited space height, the design integrates curved ceilings and mirror faces to extend visual height, while strategically positioning beams and columns to define functional areas and seating forms. This innovative approach creates a sense of openness, privacy, and flexibility, allowing for increased social interaction and information circulation among customers.

TIEN WUN LI and YI-JEN LI collaborated on this project, combining classical trims and titanium materials to establish a high-end luxury atmosphere that aligns with the image of a commercial elite club. The design's real-time digital technology and strategic layout promote customer interaction, conversation, and information exchange, enhancing customer group cohesion and engagement.

The Traders Club design was honored with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2022, recognizing its practical, innovative, and industry-leading characteristics that contribute to a better world.
