LnP Architects Unveils Yoyo City, a Fusion of Urban Energy and Natural Wave in Yinchuan, China
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LnP Architects introduces Yoyo City, a groundbreaking mixed-use development inspired by the natural surroundings of Yinchuan, China. The project, located adjacent to a natural wetland and a prime express highway, aims to become the city's new icon, seamlessly integrating urban and natural elements. Yoyo City offers an innovative architecture design that extends its energy into the interior green spaces, creating a continuous fluid facade movement inspired by the convergence of natural and urban energy waves.
The development features floating islands integrated into the facade, serving as a key highlight and linking the boutique apartment, shopping street, and mall. The design incorporates durable materials such as granite stone panels, aluminum fins, and large billboard glass panels with LED screens. Noteworthy features include a kinetic wind-driven pixel plate system, a 4-storey water jet waterfall, and a super-structure recreational bird nest in the central atrium.
With a site area of 49,249 sqm and a total GFA of 122,990 sqm, Yoyo City includes a 5-storey shopping mall, 2-storey street retail, and 14-storey service apartment. The project prioritizes pedestrian flow and minimizes vehicular traffic within the development, connecting the community and its natural surroundings through 8 key node spaces from east to west.
Officially commenced in December 2019, the project is currently in the Design Development stage, with the grand opening targeted for the end of 2022. Yoyo City has been awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building, and Structure Design in 2021, recognizing its outstanding expertise and innovation.
