Marco Guariglia Unveils Chairry: A Multi-functional and Playful Pouf Design

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Designer Marco Guariglia Introduces Chairry, a Versatile and Interactive Furniture Piece

Renowned designer Marco Guariglia has unveiled his latest creation, Chairry, a unique and versatile pouf design that offers endless possibilities for arrangement and interaction. Inspired by the idea of creating a toy for adults, Chairry presents a multi-functional and playful approach to furniture design, allowing users to arrange the poufs in over 1000 different ways. The project, which commenced in April 2019 in Taipei and concluded in August 2019, has garnered significant attention for its innovative concept and practical applications.

Chairry's design is characterized by its ability to evoke emotional responses through the various configurations in which the poufs can be arranged. Whether creating individual spaces in a library, forming meeting areas, or captivating children with its playful circle formation, Chairry offers a dynamic and engaging experience for users. The poufs, made of 3D machine-cut polystyrene reinforced with plywood and covered with foam and fleece, prioritize ergonomics, comfort, and storage efficiency.

Guariglia's design methodology focused on achieving multi-functionality and storage efficiency, allowing the poufs to be rearranged to suit users' needs and stylishly stacked when not in use. The project also emphasized the importance of ergonomics and comfort, resulting in a furniture piece that seamlessly integrates practicality with individual creativity. Chairry's innovative approach to interior decoration and functional use has earned it the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2020, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative characteristics that meet professional and industrial requirements.
