Renowned designer Amr Ibrahim Mousa has unveiled the Sakakini Fragrance Packaging, drawing inspiration from the forgotten architectural treasures of Egypt. The packaging features a magnetic dome replicating the exact dome from the Sakakini Palace, showcasing its glorious rococo features in a touchable way. The luxurious and sophisticated product aims to promote Egypt's forgotten architecture and contribute to the restoration of the abandoned palace through the profits of the sales.
The glass bottle with a metal dome on top is a small replica from the Sakakini Palace, available in gold or silver blasted finishes. The fragrance packaging is a national project for Egypt, aiming to raise funds for the restoration of the abandoned palace and support the dying industry of Khan el-Khalili in Cairo, where the domes are handcrafted.
The Sakakini Fragrance Packaging project commenced in January 2022 and was completed in February 2022 in Milan, Italy. The design has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, highlighting its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence.
