Yinchuan Sunac City Sales Center: A Landmark Embracing Nature

Arch-Age-Design (AAD) proudly presents the Yinchuan Sunac City Sales Center, a project located on the bank of Gedi Lake in Yinchuan. The center, initially designed as a sales center, will later transform into a civil cultural center open to the city, becoming an iconic exhibition hall and landmark. The design integrates Yinchuan's culture and history with regional characteristics, creating an iconic building for the city.

The project's unique minimalistic approach features circular blocks and soft, neat curved elements, resembling a strand of silk floating on the lake, embracing Gedi Lake in a natural and elegant way. The half-moon-shaped roof extends towards the lake, with built-in light strips that illuminate the evening, creating a breathtaking visual effect.

The design incorporates contemporary techniques to connect man and nature, integrating the present environment with time, space, and light as the link. The transparent tempered hollow glass curtain wall facing the lake provides a light and transparent ambiance, allowing visitors to enjoy the outdoor scenes while sitting around the lake.

The project, covering an area of 450 square meters, was completed in July 2020 in Yinchuan, China. The design team, led by Chief Designer Hu Zhiying, overcame challenges related to the structural beams and overhangs, ensuring the integrity and lightness of the rooftop. The project was awarded the Golden A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding and trendsetting architectural design.
