More Design Office unveils the Vanke Joy Hill Exhibition Center, a ceremonial community lounge inspired by Dongguan's urban symbols, portraying Lingnan culture through modern techniques.

Vanke Joy Hill Exhibition Center
More Design Office (MDO) presents the Vanke Joy Hill Exhibition Center, a stunning 1100 square meter ceremonial community lounge located in Dongguan, China. Inspired by the undulating silhouette of the Wok Ear House, the design uses bamboo material and local intangible cultural heritage techniques to create a uniquely artistic atmosphere.
The use of red stone and the Ingo Maurer Yoruba Rose lamp, alongside the interplay of light, color, and sequence, provide a beautiful and smooth rhythm to the space, portraying the accessible and inclusive Lingnan culture.
The furniture, designed by MDO and TIWU & Zhao Yun Studio, conveys elegance, kindness, and independence, interconnected with the natural environment.
The project started in April 2021 and finished in October 2021, and was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2023 for its outstanding expertise and innovation.
