World Industrial Design Conference Visual Identity System

Shandong Industrial Design Institute has unveiled its remarkable Visual Identity System at the World Industrial Design Conference. The system, showcased during the three-day Industrial Design World Expo in October 2019, captivated over 100,000 visitors from around the world, offering a visual feast of the latest design concepts and products. The letter “I” in the logo extends into a light cone, symbolizing the key elements of the design industry and representing various connotations of industrial design, including "industrial," "integration," "international," and "innovation." The system's unique design and far-reaching influence have solidified the Conference as a landmark event for international industrial design exchange.

Chief designer Xin Tong, designer director Xin Li, and creative directors Yuanchuan Chen and Shu Chen, along with designers Lu Qiao, Zilin Liu, and Xiaoming Liu, meticulously crafted the Visual Identity System, which embodies openness, inclusiveness, and the charm of the unknown. The team's accurate interpretation of the Conference's concept, combined with the management of design standards and the presentation form from 2D to 3D animation, resulted in a visual feast with a strong impact.

The project, which began in April 2019 and concluded in August 2019 in Yantai, China, has received prestigious accolades, including the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020. The Visual Identity System not only represents a significant innovation in the design industry but also serves as a testament to the Institute's commitment to driving global industrial design innovation and development.
