Venpur: The Innovative Air Disinfection Table

Shandong Industrial Design Institute is proud to introduce Venpur, an innovative solution designed to address the challenges faced by various industries due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Venpur is a fully automatic table of air purification and disinfection, integrating ultraviolet light and oxygen-enriched technology to create a negative pressure zone around the table, effectively filtering and disinfecting the surrounding air. This groundbreaking design aims to mitigate the risk of cross-infection caused by droplets in public environments.

Venpur is equipped with an oxygen-enriched fan to enhance air circulation, ensuring efficient air purification. Additionally, it features an ultraviolet sterilization lamp strategically positioned for optimal contact during air circulation, maximizing the sterilization effect. The design also incorporates safety features such as an air inlet with a mesh grid structure to prevent foreign matter from entering the system, as well as an infrared sensing device for automatic activation and deactivation based on user proximity, enhancing the overall intelligent service experience.

Chief designer Xin Tong, along with designers Christian Knapp, Suo Ren, Zhenmin Hao, and Liang Yu, led the development of Venpur, which was completed in December 2020 in Yantai. The design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding contribution to art, science, design, and technology.
