Shinji Arashigawa Unveils Hiroshima Terrace: A Visual Identity for Mitsubishi Corporation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Expressing Hiroshima's Uniqueness and Mitsubishi's Global Presence

Renowned designer Shinji Arashigawa has unveiled "Hiroshima Terrace," a striking visual identity for the Mitsubishi Corporation's Hiroshima branch. The design, inspired by the city's rich heritage and Mitsubishi's global reach, features a diamond-shaped poster and carp-shaped in-house sign, emphasizing Hiroshima's uniqueness and the corporation's global presence.

The logo for the in-house space, "HIROSHIMA TERRACE," draws inspiration from the torii gate of Miyajima, symbolizing Hiroshima's distinctiveness. The carp shape represents the city's association with water and is overlaid with the image of Nishikigoi in Mitsubishi colors, symbolizing both Hiroshima and Mitsubishi.

Utilizing advanced offset printing and magnet technology, the design includes a 728mmx1030mm poster and 200mmx200mm to 900mmx1200mm in-house signs. The project, initiated in October 2019, was completed in December 2019, with ongoing variations in poster creation.
