FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Reba Dilbert's "Gem Of The World" costume design is a breathtaking representation of the natural beauty of the Cayman Islands. The predominantly white costume, adorned with reflective blue accents, mirrors the crystal-clear waters and powdery white sands of the Caribbean gem. The wing-shaped design symbolizes the millions of tourists who flock to the Cayman Islands, seeking an unforgettable experience.
This handmade masterpiece is crafted from a combination of fabrics such as spandex, lace, sequins, and feathers, with a sculpted metal wire foundation. The project, which commenced in July 2018, was completed in December 2019 in the Cayman Islands, where the designer drew inspiration from the stunning Seven Mile Beach.
The "Gem Of The World" design is a plea for environmental preservation, emphasizing the importance of protecting the marine environment of the Cayman Islands. Dilbert's work has been showcased globally, earning her the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2021 for Performing Arts, Stage, Style, and Scenery Design.
