Woman in Power Costume Design

Reba Dilbert's "Woman in Power" costume design, inspired by breast cancer survivors and abuse, has been awarded the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2021. The design pays homage to women's strength and resilience, featuring a fan-like shape adorned with feathers in pink and purple, symbolizing the global representation of breast cancer and domestic abuse.

This unique piece represents the designer's personal story and the strength of women, crafted from a combination of fabrics such as spandex, lace, and sequins. The sculpted piece is framed with metal wire and bonded using a special technique, showcasing the designer's dedication and creativity.

The project, which started in July 2018 and was completed in December 2019 in the Cayman Islands, reflects Dilbert's commitment to promoting the culture of her country through costume design. Her work has been showcased in national festivals and international events, evoking happiness and delight in audiences worldwide.
