Bing Dong's Hill Mansion project, inspired by the famous red maple scenery in Qixia, brings a charming maple landscape to life in Nanjing, China, with a focus on ecological sustainability and natural integration.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Bing Dong, the chief designer, drew inspiration from the renowned red maple scenery in Qixia to create the Hill Mansion project, completed in 2021 in Nanjing, China. The design concept aims to attract people and evoke a sense of poetry and happiness through the charming maple landscapes. The project site, located in Qixia District, benefits from the natural beauty of the nearby Yangtze River waterfront, providing an ideal backdrop for the innovative design.
The project's unique strength lies in its seamless integration with the surrounding natural environment, offering an unparalleled natural experience with an undulating skyline created by plants. The design features low-maintenance ecological greening landscapes, utilizing local suitable plant species and wild flowering vegetation to form a sustainable and visually stunning environment.
The project's ecological focus extends to its technology, with functional lighting equipped with solar modules and a time-sharing control system to reduce energy consumption. Additionally, the design incorporates ecological permeable bricks and an underground water storage system to enhance water permeability and enable rainwater collection and reuse.
The Hill Mansion project was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in 2022 for its outstanding expertise, innovation, and commitment to ecological sustainability. Bing Dong's design team at Fealand, a landscape architecture practice based in Shanghai, continues to prioritize modern and simple design styles to create high-quality landscape designs with innovative environmental solutions.
