Fealand's Bing Dong Wins Silver A' Design Award for Yunxi Mansion, a Landscape Design Project Finished in 2021 in Nantong, China
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fealand's Bing Dong, the Chief Designer, has been honored with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award for the remarkable landscape design project, Yunxi Mansion. Completed in 2021 in Nantong, China, this project reimagines the elegance and literary atmosphere of the Song Dynasty gardens, integrating cloud patterns and modern techniques to create a private literati garden for the community.
The landscape design of Yunxi Mansion draws inspiration from the famous Shuihui Garden, renowned for its flowing water and elegant atmosphere. By incorporating elements from the Song Dynasty gardens, such as cloud patterns in paving, lamps, and column bases, the project aims to evoke a sense of peace and happiness for the residents.
One of the unique features of Yunxi Mansion is the creation of five comfortable lifestyles through the establishment of five life scenes, reminiscent of the artistic conception of the Shuihui Garden. The project focuses on the "literati garden" lifestyle, extracting the beauty and elegance of the Shuihui Garden while utilizing modern techniques to return to a natural garden scene.
The landscape design also prioritizes ecological sustainability by using mainly local suitable plant species and incorporating ecological permeable bricks for paving. Additionally, a water storage and reuse system has been implemented, utilizing underground water storage modules to enhance sustainability.
Furthermore, the 60-meter-long wind and rain corridor at the property entrance not only enhances the sense of dignity and ritual for the residents but also provides a space for leisurely strolls in the garden during rainy weather.
Yunxi Mansion's innovative approach to landscape design has been recognized with the Silver A' Design Award, showcasing outstanding expertise, innovation, and a remarkable level of excellence. This project exemplifies the harmonious integration of modern aesthetics with the timeless elegance of literati gardens, creating a captivating journey of homecoming through time and space.
