Chen Bingrou introduces Xun, a revolutionary rubber rings fabric, challenging traditional weaving techniques. Inspired by her childhood attempts at knitting, Bingrou sought to create a weaving process accessible to all, resulting in a technique that requires no professional skills or special tools.
This innovative fabric is entirely crafted from rubber rings, utilizing a new weaving technique suitable for annular materials. Notably, this process preserves the integrity of the rings, allowing for reuse. The collection features 1 look womenswear, size 4, and was exhibited at the Guangdong Academic Forum for Graduate Students in October 2019.
Bingrou's exploration of new materials aims to blur the line between "clothing" and "non-clothing" materials, presenting new possibilities in fashion design. The Xun fabric is a testament to her dedication to breaking boundaries and inspiring creativity.
