JEFF HSU, HOWARD LIU's "Reverse Time" project, a harmonious blend of industrial and residential styles, was completed in Taipei City, Taiwan, from January to June 2020.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
JEFF HSU and HOWARD LIU's "Reverse Time" project is a stunning example of industrial style seamlessly integrated into a residential space. The design concept was born from the client's preference for an industrial aesthetic, which was balanced with modern design elements to create a warm and unique living environment.
The project showcases the appropriate use of industrial elements, such as iron, integrated with modern design, leather, and wooden elements. The space features a unique suspension design, connecting wooden tables with iron elements, and creating an infinite atmosphere between the desktop and the floor.
Utilizing concrete ceilings, gray-scale natural white oak floors, and laminated wood walls, the design achieves a harmonious blend of industrial and residential styles. The integration of iron elements with different materials, including leather furniture, further enhances the distinctive character of the space.
Throughout the project, the design team maximized the functional aspect of industrial styles, cleverly concealing pipelines within the space and creating a stainless steel hanging space in the bedroom. The use of iron elements is displayed prominently, from iron cabinets and shelves to door panels, adding to the overall industrial aesthetic.
The "Reverse Time" project was awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2021 for its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach that meets professional and industrial requirements. This recognition highlights the project's ability to integrate industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.
