Family Cohesion: Redefining Modern Living Spaces

MA ,KAI-CHUN's Family Cohesion project redefines residential spaces, catering to young couples with newborns. The design emphasizes a balance of 80% modern neatness and 20% coziness, creating a stress-relief effect within the large, open living area. The spatial expression and arrangement of furniture encourage a re-examination of life's focus and promote warmth and family interaction.

The project, completed in Taipei City, Taiwan, from April to December 2018, utilizes non-toxic, eco-friendly materials such as special Italian paint, stucco, and diatomaceous earth to provide a healthy living space for children. The design's emphasis on spatial transparency, green materials, and open space promotes a stress-free environment, fostering tranquility and comfort.

MA ,KAI-CHUN's innovative approach to spatial design and use of eco-friendly materials has earned the Family Cohesion project the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2020. The project stands as a testament to the designer's creative ingenuity and commitment to promoting family well-being and interaction through thoughtful design.
