Chen Chin-Shu's Love Symbol design, a residential space project, was awarded Iron in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2020 for its innovative and sentimental approach to interior design.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Love Symbol design by Chen Chin-Shu is a poignant residential space project that embodies the care and love of a deceased father for his family, integrating urban landscape and cultural elements. The 150 square feet unit was customized during the pre-construction phase, emphasizing sentiment and heritage.
The main wall of the living room features a stone of gradient colors, reminiscent of oriental ink-painting landscape, extending to the hallway and symbolizing the family's sentiment. The back of the main wall is designed as a Buddha Hall, adorned with the father's calligraphy, infusing the room with artistic depth.
Using wood in the ceiling, the design seamlessly connects public and private spaces, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The dining room exudes tranquility through rational colors while the study room emphasizes functional arrangement for work processing.
Chen Chin-Shu's Love Symbol design project commenced in January 2018 and concluded in August 2018 in Taipei, Taiwan. The design reflects extensive research and creative efforts to build a humanistic construction space, preserving the sentimental performance between sense and sensibility.
Chen Chin-Shu is an interior designer from Taipei City, Taiwan, who believes in creating comfortable and functional living spaces. The Love Symbol design is a testament to his ability to integrate sentiment, culture, and functionality into a harmonious living environment.
