The project, which commenced in July 2018 in Aachen, Germany, and concluded in December 2019, culminated in the unveiling of the reimagined brand at the ISM Cologne trade fair in January 2020.
The rebranding effort involved a comprehensive redesign and extension of the entire brand portfolio, which was strategically separated into two categories: bread and viennoiseries. By leveraging consumer insights, the portfolio was structured to create a clearer distinction, resulting in a captivating and modern design that resonates with the target audience.
IBIS Bread Culinary Explorers showcases a range of iconic bread specialties, such as French baguette, Finnish bread, and Italian Ciabatta, each featuring recipes that invite consumers to indulge in the comfort of their homes. The packaging, crafted with a trendy and premium design, conveys a strong message encouraging consumers to experience the products firsthand.
The design agency employed various packaging methods, including molded film, flow packs, and film bags, to ensure a consistent and modern brand image across the entire bread range. The products are presented in printed or labeled films of different sizes, with the back of the packaging intentionally left free of design to allow consumers to view the products accurately. Additionally, most packages feature a window on the front, offering a glimpse of the delectable contents within.
