Adel Badrawy's Residential Prototype Villa

Adel Badrawy's "The Tree" is a prototype residential complex designed to symbolize the essence of a family through the structure of a tree. The house, located in Cairo, Egypt, is a modern family home that embodies the growth and unity of a family, with the main core represented by the central staircase, akin to the stem of a tree. The design aims to provide a futuristic yet welcoming residence for young families, offering a unique living experience that blends contemporary architecture with natural symbolism.

The house features multiple levels, each designed to accommodate different functions while maintaining privacy. The entrance and reception areas are located on the lower level, while the bedrooms are situated on the higher private level. The living spaces are distributed across various levels, with green roofs and terraces, creating an experience reminiscent of a treehouse. The water feature underneath the office mass symbolizes the life and energy associated with a tree, emphasizing the continuity and blessings provided by nature.

Constructed with a focus on the central staircase as the core, the house utilizes imported Italian stone and savito paint for its facades. The prototype villa is designed on a rectangular plot with a total built-up area of 275 sqm, offering a blend of open space plans and split-level architecture to meet the requirements of modern living, work, and leisure activities. The project, which commenced in April 2020, was completed in May 2020 for a renowned real estate developer in Egypt.
