Villas Alba: A Unique Seaside Residential Masterpiece

Mercurio Design Lab S.r.l. proudly presents Villas Alba, a breathtaking architectural creation inspired by the beauty of a sunrise. Nestled on Sentosa Island, Singapore, these twin villas stand as a testament to innovative design and unparalleled luxury.

Alba, meaning sunrise in Italian, perfectly encapsulates the essence of these villas, with their semi-circular form mirroring the image of a sun rising on the horizon. The design, led by Massimo Mercurio and his team, exudes warmth and elegance, making it an iconic addition to the seaside development.

Villas Alba's design is a seamless integration of exterior and interior elements, with a consistent gradiation of warm and bright tones inspired by the colors of a sunrise. From the terracotta roof to the custom-designed interior elements, every detail reflects the concept of a new day dawning.

The twin villas boast a site area of 643 sqm and 623 sqm respectively, offering a resort-like living experience in a prime location. The construction, which commenced in 2009, was completed in 2013, marking the culmination of a visionary design journey.

One of the key challenges overcome during the design process was the need to adhere to a 30-degree pitched roof requirement while maximizing floor space and conforming to height regulations. Additionally, the design had to align with specific Fengshui principles, a task that was expertly navigated by Massimo Mercurio, drawing on his deep understanding of Chinese philosophy.

As the sun rises on the horizon, Villas Alba signal a new beginning, setting a benchmark for iconic architectural design in Sentosa Cove. This masterpiece has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, a testament to its creative ingenuity and contribution to quality of life improvements.
