Pixelhouse: Redefining Residential Living

The Pixelhouse design by The Grid Architects is a testament to the fusion of privacy and togetherness, creating a unique living space for an extended family. The villa features a striking rcc cuboid canopy that serves as a welcoming entrance and a shelter, while strategically placed openings invite sunlight from the east and west, incorporating biophilia features into the built environment.

The design boasts energy-efficient systems, including double glazing unit glass, rainwater harvesting, solar panels, and inverter-based air conditioners, promoting sustainability and biodiversity. The use of local species of plants and a thoughtfully selected material palette of wood, stone, and concrete maintain the thermal mass, while the central atrium staircase is lit from the skylight, creating a seamless connection to the outdoors.

Pixelhouse's unique spatial framework binds communal zones across three floors, seamlessly integrating internal and external spaces. The design features minimal material expression, with stone, wood, and exposed brick complemented by simple lime plaster, creating a harmonious blend with the natural surroundings.
