Breaking Tradition with the Mr. Penguin Tea Packaging

Xianfeng Wu presents a groundbreaking tea packaging design, Mr. Penguin, inspired by the warmth associated with penguins and tea. The design aims to appeal to a younger audience, offering a unique and warm display with its penguin-shaped appearance. The vitreous material tank showcases spheroidal orange puer tea, while the soft wooden cover adds a fashionable touch. The design measures 106mm x 106mm x 240mm, providing a distinctive and functional packaging solution.

Mr. Penguin not only serves as a tea container but also offers a charming display when the cover is turned over, revealing a handsome penguin. After enjoying the tea, the empty tank can be repurposed as a storage container or vase, seamlessly integrating into daily life.

The project, initiated in February 2019 and completed in Shenzhen by January 2020, was exhibited at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in December 2020. The design received the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding creativity and contribution to quality of life improvements.

Despite facing challenges during the production process, the Mr. Penguin tea packaging has received positive market feedback, showcasing the successful collaboration between innovative design and meticulous craftsmanship.
