WISe: Wireless Intelligence Sensing

Mercku Inc has unveiled WISe, a groundbreaking wireless sensor technology that redefines vital sign measurements without wearables, enabling a truly connected IoT ecosystem. Leveraging advanced artificial intelligence and hardware, WISe accurately measures heartbeat, breath rates, and other vital signs, eliminating the need for wearables. The sensor can be seamlessly integrated into existing products, automobiles, and electronic devices, marking a significant leap in wireless connectivity and healthcare technology.

WISe, developed by a team led by Yihong Qi, Alex Qi, Yunlong Luo, and Ge Shi, combines unique hardware and computing breakthroughs to achieve industry-leading accuracy in vital sign measurements. The sensor, measuring 4cm x 4cm with a 2mm width, utilizes mmWave frequency, particularly 60GHz, to achieve near-perfect results up to 3m, with multi-room coverage for presence detection capabilities.

The development of WISe began in 2017 in Waterloo, Canada, with the first commercial product becoming available in September 2020. Currently, WISe integration is underway in the automotive and smart home industries, with far-reaching implications for healthcare, connectivity, and security applications.
