Architectural Masterpiece: Lulu Villa

Dante Luna's Lulu Villa is a breathtaking architectural creation spanning 850 square meters on a 2,492 square meter lot in Loma Esperanza, Las Terrenas. The design concept revolves around the intersection of three main volumes, creating a unique blend of textures, elements, and volumes. The residence boasts open spaces composed of three exterior volumes, with a remarkable interplay of materiality that allows natural light to permeate the interior, creating captivating light effects and shadows.

The architectural design of Lulu Villa showcases a harmonious balance of different textures, elements, and volumes, with concrete in its natural state, perforated wood finishes, rustic textures, and a protruding white volume, all contributing to its distinctive facades. The house is designed to function seamlessly, with the first level housing the social areas and guest sleeping quarters, while the second level features the bedrooms and a family room connected by an open corridor, reminiscent of traditional Antillean architecture.

Constructed between May 2016 and July 2017, Lulu Villa is a testament to Dante Luna's dedication to creating sacred spaces that honor the trust and investment of the homeowner. The design reflects a deep understanding of the client's needs and a commitment to ethical and coherent architectural solutions. Overcoming challenges related to materiality and the coastal environment, the design seamlessly integrates with the Caribbean beach landscape, utilizing high-end finishes such as natural gypsum and unpolished travertine stone floors, coral stone, and aluminum with wood finish.
