Zhangyong Hou's environmentally friendly and recyclable soybean oil packaging design, Caihu, wins the prestigious A' Design Award
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Zhangyong Hou's Caihu is a revolutionary soybean oil packaging design that replaces traditional plastic and glass bottles with degradable fiber bottles made from recycled plant fibers. The inspiration for this innovative design came from the abundance of straw left after harvesting agricultural products, which led to the creation of lightweight and environmentally friendly packaging.
The unique properties of Caihu lie in its sustainable use of plant fibers such as bagasse and soybean straw, which are recycled and pressed into bottles through molds. The design not only reduces the use of plastic and glass but also offers a secondary use as flower pots for plants after the oil is consumed.
The Caihu packaging design, with a net content of 550ml and a height of 260mm, is shaped like a soybean eggplant, providing a comfortable grip for users. Its outer packaging resembles a large soybean eggplant, creating a visually appealing and distinctive product.
Zhangyong Hou's studio, based in Dalian, China, is known for its emphasis on creativity and quality in packaging design. The studio's commitment to creating business value for clients has earned them the reputation of being symbol experts, crafting memorable symbols for various enterprises.
