Artistic Main Walls and Curved Pathways: The Unique Features of This Design

Chung Yi Chun's "The Meaning of Happiness" challenges conventional design with an open plan that transforms the original small-three-bedroom layout into a spacious, art-filled home. The use of curves and creative elements resolves the cramped feel, while the incorporation of pale turquoise rattan cabinets and stone tiles with waterfall-like patterns brings a dynamic and elegant touch to the space. The design introduces natural energy through the use of stone, wood, and metal materials, creating a high-end residential look that is both unique and visually stunning.

The design's realization technology is evident in the multi-functional entryway storage room, which serves as a screening, storing, and guiding space. The band of lighting defines the main moving line, while the nonparallel U-shaped design creates a gradually widening, brightening curved path, enhancing the sense of space. The reversal of the living and dining room, along with the rearrangement of furniture, maximizes usable space and opens up visual connections, creating an unblocked view and facilitating family interaction.

Chung Yi Chun's design, completed in 2021, has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This award celebrates the innovative and creatively ingenious nature of the design, which incorporates best practices in art, science, design, and technology, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
