Gerardo RÃos Altamirano unveils the Madison lounge bench, a modern and futuristic piece inspired by the cosmic collection and the cars of 1959, designed to provide comfort and style for contemporary living spaces.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Gerardo RÃos Altamirano introduces the Madison lounge bench, a part of the Cosmic collection, drawing inspiration from the cars of 1959. The bench's angled legs resemble a rising rocket, while the upholstered surface gives the illusion of an airplane wing, expressing modernism and spatial idealism from the early 60s with a modern twist.
Built with solid German Beech wood and stainless steel cylindrical supports, the Madison bench is upholstered with high-density foam, providing comfort and style. With dimensions of 1300mm W x 450mm D x 370mm H, it can accommodate up to three adults, offering both comfort and a light, beautiful design.
From the first sketches to the final prototype, the Madison bench took 10 weeks to complete, with the design and prototype created in Mérida, Yucatán, México. The piece has been carefully tested to withstand daily use and up to 300 kg of weight without breaking, with four prototypes built to ensure its durability.
Gerardo RÃos Altamirano's artistry and craftsmanship reflect his inspiration from "the daring romance and adventures found in people, history, and our natural environment." Each piece of furniture aims to create harmony and provoke a sensual response, defining the word "Design" through communication and astonishment.
