Lido Cafe: Redefining Entertainment and Design in Ho Chi Minh City

Mario J Lotti's Lido Cafe is a groundbreaking project that redefines the entertainment scene in Ho Chi Minh City. The establishment offers two different environments in one place, with the first floor resembling an undersea adventure and the second floor representing a beach or pool "resort" on the land. The first floor features a light organ as a stage backdrop, a DMX LED backlit mottled glass bar, and the entire space is illuminated with H2O effect lights. On the second floor, thin vertical strips of mirror at random spacing are embedded in the forest mural wall, creating a mesmerizing effect with laser lights and movement.

The unique properties of Lido Cafe lie in its innovative design elements, such as the use of DMX LED technology, fish-shaped bamboo and silk lanterns, and the incorporation of local materials and craftsmanship. The establishment is designed to offer live music and karaoke experiences, with both spaces embracing movement and dynamic design elements. The project, which began in March 2013, is expected to commence construction in 2015, offering a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience for locals and visitors alike.

Mario J Lotti's Lido Cafe has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2014, showcasing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that authenticates experience and resourcefulness. The project's unique blend of art, science, design, and technology contributes to quality of life improvements, making it a significant addition to the vibrant entertainment landscape of Ho Chi Minh City.
