Residential Interior Design Project: Hazy Glamour

Andersen Chiu's Hazy Glamour project is a testament to the designer's commitment to creating a functional and visually stunning living space. The project, which commenced in January 2022 and concluded in June 2022, is located in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and spans 92.56 sqm. The design is centered around the needs of the family's two young children, with a focus on safety, functionality, and fostering strong parent-child relationships.

The unique properties of the design lie in its adoption of low-key color schemes and the incorporation of faux-aged wall coatings that add an element of Wabi-Sabi to the modern style, creating an ambiance of coherence. The use of gentle neutral colors, wood patterns, and solid metal textures, along with the incorporation of rounded shapes, contributes to the overall sense of harmony and warmth in the space.

Chiu's meticulous attention to detail is evident in the design realization technology, where curvy and rounded shapes are flexibly applied to different areas, ensuring both strength and gentleness in the aesthetic. The integration of invisible doors and diverse ingenious ideas in the small dimensions of the home further enhance the unity and functionality of the space.

The project was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2024, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative nature, meeting professional and industrial requirements while contributing to a better world.
