Chahar Gah: A Sustainable Villa Designed by Nima Keivani

Nima Keivani's Chahar Gah is a stunning villa designed to harmonize with its surroundings, located in Anzali, Iran. Inspired by the traditional architecture of the region, the villa features suspended spaces with maximum view and transparency, offering an interactive dialogue between residential veils and the environment. The design, which won the Iron A' Design Award in 2022, seamlessly integrates modernity with the region's climatic conditions, promoting energy exchange and sustainability.

The villa, with a total built area of 650 square meters and a maximum height of 14 meters, is a testament to Keivani's commitment to creating spaces that prioritize human sociality while preserving privacy and independence. The design's unique properties include its adaptability to climatic conditions, energy optimization, and a seamless connection with nature. The building's elongated form and transparent, layered design facilitate natural ventilation and light control, while the arrangement of cubic volumes inside the outer volume creates diversity in space organization.

Constructed to adapt to the region's climate, the villa's design is a result of extensive research on indigenous architecture and sustainability. Keivani's meticulous approach to addressing challenges such as energy consumption, privacy, and landscape integration has led to the creation of a space that offers a new experience of transparency and a free plan, while maintaining a cozy and private atmosphere. The construction of the villa commenced in February 2021, following its design in March 2019 in Tehran, Iran.
