Jiangcheng Business Innovation Center, designed by Liang Wei, seamlessly integrates art, business, and relaxation, challenging traditional office space concepts. The project was exhibited and put into operation in December 2023 in Yuqiao, Pudong New Area, Shanghai.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Liang Wei's design for the Pudong Jiangcheng Business Innovation Center challenges traditional office space concepts by seamlessly integrating the cultural essence of an art gallery, the functionality of a business office, and the relaxing atmosphere of a coffee bookstore. The 1000 square meter lobby area of the first floor exhibits paintings from Ms. Huang Yi's River of Stars and Feathers of Nature series, as well as the sculpture artwork The Witty Rabbit Ricky. The second floor covers 220 square meters, and the standard floor is 280 square meters.
While primarily functioning as an office space, the center also serves as an art exhibition hall and gallery, providing external services for arranging art exhibition projects. The main exhibition space is located in the first-floor lobby, with art pieces dispersed in other office areas, seamlessly integrating art and the workplace.
The project kicked off in August 2023 and concluded in December 2023. The design incorporates minimalistic aesthetics and deconstructivist elements to shift the observer's attention towards the architectural structure and its inherent artistic exhibits, creating a visual and emotional impact.
Wei Liang, Feng Weiqiang, Qin Wangyang, and Qi Yue were part of the design team. The project was awarded Bronze in A' Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design Award in 2024.
