Asbjoerk Stanly Mogensen introduces the Velo Solex Revival, an electric bicycle inspired by the iconic Velo Solex gasoline moped from 1946. The design retains the original frame geometry while incorporating modern materials and a Bosch electric drive train. With the license to use the Solex brand, this innovative creation brings a classic into the 21st century.

Retaining the original frame geometry from 1949, the Velo Solex Revival stands out with its conversion into an electric bicycle. The frame has been adapted to accommodate an electric motor and a battery, utilizing modern materials such as aluminum. This transformation preserves the historical essence while embracing contemporary technology.

Realized through a combination of aluminum, carbon, and steel, the Velo Solex Revival measures 180 cm x 55 cm x 95 cm and weighs 25 kilograms. Its development was driven by insights from 500 end consumers, ensuring a user-centric approach to its design and functionality.

Overcoming the challenge of weight reduction, the design team utilized unconventional materials like carbon and kevlar, setting a new standard for electric bicycles. The Velo Solex Revival represents a fusion of heritage and innovation, offering a unique blend of classic aesthetics and modern performance.
