CarQon Solar: Redefining Sustainable Transportation

Asbjoerk Stanly Mogensen, a pioneer in the bicycle industry, has unveiled the groundbreaking CarQon Solar, the world's first solar-powered electric bicycle. This innovative design harnesses the energy of the sun to power the bike, eliminating the need for traditional recharging methods.

The CarQon Solar features strategically placed solar panels on the front box, ensuring a continuous recharge of the electric bicycle's batteries. This pioneering approach creates a new product category, offering unparalleled sustainability and convenience.

Constructed using a combination of aluminum, carbon, steel, and wood, the CarQon Solar boasts dimensions of 220 cm x 90 cm x 95 cm and weighs 35 kilograms, making it a versatile and practical transportation solution.

With a development timeframe of 12 months from the initial sketch to the final product, the CarQon Solar was realized through extensive research and creative problem-solving. The design team, led by Asbjoerk Stanly Mogensen and including Brian Hoehl, overcame technical challenges to integrate state-of-the-art solar panels seamlessly into the bicycle's structure.

Asbjoerk Stanly Mogensen's CarQon Solar has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in the Vehicle, Mobility, and Transportation Design category, further solidifying its position as a groundbreaking innovation in sustainable transportation.
